His primary role in the company is to ensure continuous growth through his expertise in Supply chain, Operations, Marketing and Finance. Coming from a middle -class business family with old ties to the jewellery business, Ishendra always had his mind set on setting up his own business.
He has completed his bachelors and masters in Electrical Engineering from IIT Kanpur and when he was in college, he started two startups. He founded Essence Times – A youth media magazine and HidnChat, an anonymous social media application. Ishendra started his corporate journey working closely with the founding team at Twigly, a direct-to-consumer food startup.
He then joined Boston Consulting Group (BCG) as a management consultant primarily working in the consumer space, followed by a short stint in the venture capital industry. These corporate stints helped Ishendra develop expertise across multiple verticals in consumer business which coupled with his desire to start his own business led to the launch of GIVA.
